The triple twist weaving of the gabion mesh prevents unravelling. Woven mesh gabion baskets and mattresses are made of this mesh fabric. Woven mesh gabion baskets and mattresses are available with plain heavily galvanised wire or PVC coated galvanised wire for maximum design life. PVC coated gabions have a design life of up to 120 years depending on exposure conditions. The standard colour of the PVC coating is grey with other colours available to special order.
